Kit hire questions.
Yes. Legend Expeditions runs its own kit store in Moshi. You can hire everything from sleeping bags and summit jackets to boots, poles and headlamps, and we deliver it to your hotel before your climb and collect it afterwards.
Prices are for your whole climb, not per day. A sleeping bag rated to -12°C is $58 (£43), an insulated summit jacket is $33 (£25), hiking boots are $33 (£25) and trekking poles are $17 (£13).

Yes. Our kit store is open to every climber on Kilimanjaro, whoever you're climbing with.
Yes. Every piece of rental kit is dry-cleaned and washed between uses, including thermals, clothing and sleeping bags.
We highly recommend bringing your own broken-in boots, as new boots cause most blisters on the mountain. Our rental boots are there for climbers whose luggage has been lost or delayed.
As early as you can. Everything is subject to availability, and popular sizes go first in the busy months of January to March and June to October.
