Jackson Masanja
Co-founder (Legend Tanzania)
Jackson was born in the central part of Tanzania, Singida, in 1986. He began his education journey in Arusha, where he completed both primary and secondary school before pursuing a Certificate in Tourism.
With over fifteen years of hands-on experience in the tourism industry, Jackson is a seasoned mountain and safari expert who has worked extensively on Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and Mount Oldoinyo Lengai. His career in tourism began humbly as a porter, steadily rising through the ranks to become a camp manager and ultimately a professional mountain and safari guide.
Jackson’s unmatched passion and deep knowledge of Tanzania’s landscapes have enabled him to successfully guide thousands of adventurers, with more than 100 successful summits under his belt. He also specializes in organizing unforgettable wildlife safaris and beach holidays across Tanzania, combining adventure, nature, and cultural experiences.
Today, Jackson continues to inspire and lead travelers from around the world, offering safe, personalised, and unforgettable experiences across Tanzania’s mountains, national parks, and coastal regions.
Bayley McTaggart
Head of Marketing
Bayley brings a creative and strategic perspective to Legend as Head of Marketing. Bayley has led digital and brand marketing for global companies across architecture, security, and lifestyle sectors, building a reputation for creative execution and commercially driven results.
Bayley’s career began in the UK with Topps Tiles PLC, within their commercial brand. He then went on to lead partner marketing globally at Gunnebo, before launching his own creative agency, ThisNotThat, which specialises in brand-building for ambitious businesses.
At Legend, Bayley leads marketing with a focus on storytelling, community-building, and strategic brand growth, positioning the company as Tanzania’s leading expedition and safari provider for climbers and purpose-driven adventurers worldwide.
Alongside Legend, Bayley is also the Founder and Director of ThisNotThat, a creative marketing agency helping ambitious brands stand out through impactful campaigns, design, and digital strategy.
